Paper Bag Portrait Journal

This is a prompted art journal page. The prompt is Practice makes Perfect. I worked in my Paper Bag Portrait journal for this page. I started the page with watercolors. I wasn't happy with the page because the colors did not stand out, so I added acrylic paint here and there. Still not happy I added gel pen here and there. Not really sure where to go next with this page I added a Rumi quote, then stopped, before I overworked the page.

Mandala Zentangle Necklace

To make this Mandala Zentangle necklace, I made a copy of one of my Mandala's then made it smaller, and cut it to fit the size of the metal pendant blank that I had. I sealed it into the pendant with Dimensional Magic, Mod Podge. I made the cord for the necklace, with my Lucet and black embroidery floss.  I am going to enjoy wearing a piece of my original Art work around my neck.

Deer Teeth Necklace

I made this necklace with 20 paper beads, that I made from a mac & cheese box, 9 beads that I purchased while on vacation in Northern Minnesota, 29 seed beads, and 2 Deer teeth. I know a guy that is an Avid Deer hunter. I knew that he got a deer this year, so I asked him for some Deer teeth. He probably thought that was a very strange request. He came through and gave me 4 deer teeth, which my husband had to drill holes into, so that I could use them in my necklace. I can tell you that drilling holes in Deer teeth is a bit Tricky. Two of the teeth broke, but I had two teeth left and used them for this necklace. I have very Happy with the way the necklace turned out!!!
