Bee Paper Bead Necklace

We are invited to my Brother in-laws house for Dinner tomorrow. I decided that I wanted to make a new beaded necklace to wear to dinner. I shopped my stash of paper beads to make this necklace. I made the beads from cereal boxes. I had the Bee pendent, and seed beads in my stash also. I don't remember where I bought the Bee, but I remember thinking at the time that it was a Great Find. I really like that way that my necklace turned out. I used 24 paper beads, and 75 seed beads.

2015 Art Journal

I bought a package of alphabet index cards at a thrift store for 25 cents. I have made them into a small Art Journal for 2015. Each card is 4' x 6". If I do a 2 page spread I can do a 8" x 6" journal page. I put the pages onto 1 1/2" rings so that the pages can be taken out while I work on the pages. When the journal is open the pages lay flat. I have made the front cover and I am looking forward to 2015 so that I can start working in this journal.

Paper Bead Necklace

I made myself another paper bead necklace. I used a cereal box to make the paper beads. I bought the cereal because the box was mostly an olive green color. I used 26 paper beads and 83 seed beads to make this necklace. I made the pendent using Graphic 45 paper. The Couture collection. I recycle almost every cereal box that comes into our house. I use the boxes to make covers for journals, paper beads, and mixed media tags.

When I finished this painting I decided to put a quote on the page.

I used a stencil for the letters.

While writing the word, (doesn't ) I made a mistake with the letter E.

I almost cried because this is a Pen and Ink page. I tried to correct the E by going over it with more ink, that did not work. I was upset of course because I have just ruined my whole painting. Then I tried correcting the letter E with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and it did the trick. You can still see on the painting where I had the problem, but it was way better then it was. You have to be sooooo careful when you put Ink on your page.
