Doodle Lettering

Today's Art Journal page is  doodle lettering. For the background, I placed a paper heart doily in the center of my page. Then painted over the paper doily with watercolor. I doodled the lettering, a border, and a heart in the lower right hand corner. I used watercolor paint, a black and a white pen. I Love this quote, it was so much fun to doodle the quote.

Art Journal Page prompt Australia

This is a prompted Art Journal page for KIF. The prompt is Australia. I don't know anything about Australia, except that Kangaroo's live there, and the water looks crystal clear blue. This is what I came up with for this prompt. I Zentangled a Kangaroo, I painted the background of the page with Gelato, printed out a map of Australia, added a bit of washi tape, and I used stickers for the lettering. I am happy with the way the page turned out. :)

Repurposed Thrift Store Find

This is a repurposed Thrift Store find. I Love shopping at thrift Stores even more then shopping the Mall, maybe not more then I Love shoe shopping, but I am always so very excited when I see what I think is a Great Find! I found this rose picture in a frame, and I just loved the frame and thought that it would be perfect for a Typography project. I took the rose picture out of the frame and replaced it with a name that I made on scrapbook paper. I really like the way this turned out. It will be a gift for one of my relatives.

Lucet Couture Necklace

To make this Beautiful Couture necklace, I use a lucet, which is a tool used in cord making.
This tool dates back to Viking and Medieval periods.
A lucet cord is square, strong, and slightly springy.
The cord is formed by making a series of loops, that are weaved around the lucet.

To make the pendant, I used a glass cabochon. I put a Beautiful couture lady form the designer paper, Grapic 45, the Couture Collection, on the back of the glass cacochon, then placed it into the pendant tray.
Each of my necklaces are hand made, and One of a Kind.

18 inches long

This necklace is listed in my Etsy shop here

Mermaid Paper Bead Necklace

I made myself a new beaded necklace and I just LOVE it! To make this necklace I purchased the Mermaids painted Lady porcelain Art Cameo from A Touch of Glass Jewelry. I made the pendent by putting the Art Cameo into a black oval pendant tray that I already had. I made the paper beads from Graphic 45 designer paper. The Couture collection.  I thought that the colors in the Couture collection matched the pendent the best. I made 25 paper beads and used 75 seed beads to make the necklace.
