Zentangle Journal
I purchased a Primary Journal for grades K-2. I am using it for a Zentangle Journal. I can Zentangle at the top of the page, and add a quote at the bottom of the page. I Like it!!
I used black ink, a Gel pen, and pencil. The gel pen did bleed through the paper, so I can only Zentangle on one side of the paper. That is fine with me!

Documented Life - Week 8
The Documented Life Project, February - week 8 .
Art challenge - Repeating Elements
Journal Prompt - It's Worth Repeating.
I painted the background with crafts paints, the colors used Jack-O-lantern, & Bright Magenta. Lately I have been liking, the combination of pink, orange, & white.
I put gesso on the page first, then painted it pink & orange. I had 4 tickets that I received in a ticket swap, the colors on the tickets are pink & orange, that determined the main color of my page. I also used black ink, white ink, and glitter markers. I used a Tim Holtz star stamp around the edges. I enjoyed putting this page together.

Pen & Ink with Watercolor
I have not made a Pen & Ink with watercolor yet this year. The last Pen & Ink that I painted was on Dec 27th last year. I decided that it was time to get my Ink out again. And I am happy that I did.
The photo reference for this painting is Biberta. I will probably work a lot more with Pen & Ink in the Spring & Summer. I am looking forward to Spring so very much. It has been a Long Cold Winter.

Rifle Cartridge Necklace
I was given a rifle cartridge, and I wanted to keep it. Being a Crafty person I thought about how I would save the cartridge. I Love to make paper bead necklaces, so I decided to make the a necklace for the cartridge. To make the Keepsake Pendant I had my husband drill a hole into the top of the cartridge. I put some pink seed beads onto craft wire and wrapped the cartridge with wire to make it into a pendant. I also added a heart charm to the pendant. Then I got busy making the paper beads for the necklace. To make the paper beads I used a box from Kellogg's Raisin Bran cereal. I made 26 paper beads & used 78 pink seed beads to complete the necklace. I am happy with the way that the necklace turned out.

Mixed Media Card
To make this Vintage Style card, I put a napkin book page on an index card with Mod Podge. I punched out 3 hearts, with a heart punch& applied the hearts to the page, I also punched out a fleur de lis & added it to the lower right hand corner. I fussy cut the bird out from another napkin book page. I stamped the sentiment onto the one of the ply of the napkin, I added both of the elements to the index card. I found a vintage button that was in my stash and added it to the upper left hand corned. I glued the button onto the card with Glossy accents, to make sure that the button would stay on the card. The index card is 4" x 6", the card that I put the index card on is 5" x 7". It is a white card so I cut a piece of tissue paper from an old Butterick dress pattern, and used Mod Podge to apply the tissue paper to the front of the card. When everything was dry, I went around the hearts, fleur de lis, and bird with a red gel pen to help them stand out a bit more from the background. The sentiment says "It is love that makes the impossible possible", this came from a Dina Wakley stamp set. I am happy with the way that the card turned out. Zentangle Mandala
To make this Zentangle Mandala, I cut a paper stencil, to use as the string for this Mandala. This stencil is cut very much like you would cut a paper snowflake.
