Watercolor & Ink Clock

This Beautiful Clock is located in Downtown, Sioux Falls. I painted the background first, the sidewalk and the Beautiful Blue South Dakota sky. Then I painted the clock and trees. When I finished painting I added ink to help define the painting.

Gelli Plate Fun!!!

Playing around a bit with my Gelli Plate today. Fun for me!!!!!

Watercolor & Ink Cabin

Beaver Creek Nature Area. Brandon S.D.
A man named John Samuelson and his wife Anna Built this cabin in 1875. They homesteaded 160 acres in Split Rock Township, in Minnehaha County. They came here from Sweden. John & his wife were among the first pioneers in Split Rock Township. This cabin had 2 rooms & a loft. They raised 8 children in this cabin.
I painted this cabin with watercolors, and added definition to the painting with ink.

Watercolor & Ink Just Chillin

Tonight my husband and I are just Chillin on our south Porch. So I got my little watercolor sketch journal out, and did a quick little live sketch of him.

Watercolor & Ink

This is Arrowhead Park in Sioux Falls, SD. With this little painting I did all of my sketching with the paint brush. No pencil on this one. I used both ends of my paint brush to paint the trees in the background. I started the painting with the lightest colors, the sky and the water. When I finished painting the picture I added Ink in places to help define the painting.
